Our dear friend and leader of the 11th Ward, Sandra Capuano
peacefully passed away this morning at Saint John's
hospital. She had been suffering from stomach cancer.
She was surrounded by her loving family. I, as well as all
of us, will miss her greatly, as she's was a sweet and
wonderful lady who was very vibrant.
Arrangements will be at Ruggiero/Havey Maloney Funeral Home
on Yonkers Avenue. Arrangemens are in process and will be
either Thursday or Friday. You may want to contact them
later today for details.
On another sad note, the 45 year old daughter of Charles
"Chuck" Kerr, former 2nd Ward Leader passed away. Visiting
hours for Chuck's daughter Karen Kerr-Meltz will be
tonight from 7-9 and 2-4 and 7-9 tomorrow at Flower Funeral
on Yonkers Avenue.
I am arranging sending flowers on behalf of the City
Committee to both families.
